How it works

Install it
Add Nextspan to your store from your Shopify admin. It reads your products and order history in the background.

Switch it on
Shopify asks you to turn app embeds on yourself, so we take you straight to the switch in your theme editor. Turn it on and press Save.

That's it
Recommendations and a free shipping bar appear on your storefront, and keep learning as new orders come in.
Most themes need nothing more. If you want the recommendations somewhere specific, add the block in the theme editor like any other.
What your shoppers see
What we read, and what we never touch
Nextspan never requests access to your customer records, and it doesn't need to. Here is everything it does read.
What Nextspan reads
- Your products and collections
- Orders from the last 60 days: which products were bought together, quantities, and prices after discounts and refunds
- What happens to our own widgets (shown, clicked, added to cart), under a random visitor ID that cannot be linked to a person
What it never does
- Ask for access to your customer list
- Read customer names, emails, phone numbers or addresses
- Sell or share your store's data
Raw storefront events are deleted after 13 months. When you uninstall, we delete your store's data. The Your data page in the app shows what we hold about your store. Read the privacy policy
Numbers you can check against your orders
The admin shows how often recommendations were shown and added to cart, and the orders and revenue that came from them, counted after discounts and refunds, never at list price. Discounts and free gifts stay off until you turn them on.

Will it work with my theme?
Nextspan is a Shopify theme app extension, which works with Online Store 2.0 themes. On most themes the recommendations place themselves; you can also add them as a block exactly where you want them.
Will it slow my store down?
Its script loads without blocking your page, and its styles don't hold up the first paint.
My store is new. Will it have anything to suggest?
It starts from your catalogue and moves toward what your orders show as they come in. It only says “Frequently bought together” when your orders back it up.
What happens if I uninstall?
Shopify removes our blocks from your theme, and we delete your store's data.
Which languages does it speak?
Storefront text comes in English, Traditional and Simplified Chinese, Japanese, German, French and Spanish, and you can edit every line. The admin is in English, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese.
